Principal Founder Stephen T. Saporta

Principal Founder, Stephen T. Saporta, has been an attorney in good standing in the state of Illinois since 1987, and a registered patent attorney since 2000.  Mr. Saporta graduated from Northwestern University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry, earned his Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University in 1986 and  his Master of Laws Degree in the area of Intellectual Property Law from John Marshall Law School in 2003.  He has published in both the Valparaiso University Law Review (Spring, 1986, Volume 20, No. 3), as well as in the John Marshall Center for Intellectual Property Law News Source (Winter 2000, Vol. II, No. 1).  

After graduating law school, Mr. Saporta worked as a law clerk and then as an associate attorney for a small suburban law firm in Park Ridge, Illinois, before serving as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Alfred P. Pivarnik of the Indiana Supreme Court, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mr. Saporta then joined a mid-sized commercial real estate litigation firm in Chicago, Illinois, before going on to establish Saporta Law Offices in 1992.
